A grown up.
'welcome to the real world'
When i was younger i thought being older was like a party i wasn't invited to and when i grew up all the secrets of old agedism and wisdome would come to me along with a car a house and a massive a bank account. With 17 days to go until i'm sixteen im still holding on to that belief. (Feel free to donate a car house or masisve bank balance if you don't want my dream to be crushed)
Rule 1 of blogging: Always put a lil bit of emotional blackmail into your blogs

Well i thought what do i want for my birthday a massive £500,000 like the brats on MTV get would be nice but unless i win the lottery from now till then somehow i just don't think it's goingn to happen. (Again feel free to send me monies so i will have my greastest dram come true)

I thought and thought about what i'd like and a saviour came in the form of Scouting for girls. Love em or hate em it's your choice but as long as your reading this YOU WILL LOVE THEM. Their going to perform on the 1st Dec at the carling academy and i had planned to get tickets. After a lot of hoo haa boo baa and discussion with my mates it was deciding we would go but wo betide me the golden treasures of the alcopops had been stolen. Losely translated that means they were sold out. Needless to say i was upset until i read The script were coming so again i was happiiiiiii and smileeeeeey and we were going to book tickets but they got sold out. Now you might think bad luck was the cause but i'm certain someone somewhere was determined to stop me from having a super sixteen.
So i moaned.
And i groaned.
I cried.
And i got over it.
That was until i found out theh Fratellis were coming to town and to stop whichever powers which were working against me from runing my life ( IF you think this is dramatic then you should see me on a bad day) and quickly bought tickets. Which are being stowed safley in a safe somewhere of the coast of Peru. Now the other option was i look after then but after the fourth time i lost them in a day they were taken from me and looked after my bgy non losing things mates which is fine unless they lose them in which case i will find which ever madman is stopping me from going and stamp on his Genitals. And if that madman turns out to be madwoman i will stick a pair of genitals on and then stamp on them.
Nothing will stop me! Nothing....apart from illness death loss of tickets gig cancelation parental madness.....apart from that nothing.
So if anyone else is going on the 5th of December C YOU THERE :d

When all her problems first surfaced in the media i felt sorry for her like everyone else but now after 2 years and the fact she has done nothing to adress her issues and just uses them to gain publicity is disguisting. Her recent shambolic tv appearence didn't jolt her into waking up proving that as long as shes with her 'loving' husband she'll never get better. God knows how her children are goingn to be when they grow up considering all they've seen. I hate labeling anyone as a 'bad mother' so i won't. She isn't a bad mother merely a failure of a mother woman or celebrity. Can someone please get her of the iceland adverts.I mean does iceland really think putting a alcholic drug taking shambles of a woman will make families rush to their store.
And every Kerry Kotona fan who would rush to defend her ( not mnay i guess) but for the few out there; wake up and smell the coffee and if SHE is someone you admire then you've got some serious issues my friend. I recommend help.

I believe everything they stand for is a lie. How can it not be when you’re willing to change your entire principals just to get more votes? A party adapts to voters needs but doesn’t do a 360 and suddenly become everything that they weren't yesterday. My view is how you can trust someone who will stand for everything one day but nothing another. If you support that then surely you support hypocrisy. For is that not what the conservatives are?
I've always wondered how a party like the Conservatives thinks they can win the election maybe if their leader David Cameron allocated more time to politics and policies instead of publicity stunts the Tories may actually have a chance of coming in to power?
If your working class or middle class you will know (and if you don't realise it then their must be something wrong) that the Tories aren’t for you. Their policies are for the rich and sadly for them. The rich are a minority. The majority of us have to work bloody hard to get food on the table and clothes on our back. It doesn't come easy like an inheritance from your rich influential father does and that's where the Tories get separated from normal men and women. Like me. Like you. Like us.
How can someone with millions of pounds know what it feels like to have to count every penny?
How can someone with a 3rd high paying job know how it feels to work every hour of the day ONLY to earn a pittance that'll barely pay for the essentials?
How can someone who was born into wealth and lived in wealth all their life know how it is for people like us?
The answer is plain and simple; they can't
I don't every think that the conservatives will care or even attempt to care how we feel and what we want. All they care about in my eyes is getting to the top where they feel the rich should be. Looking down on all us mere mortals.
Think Thatcher. If that era ever came again could this country come out of it intact?
You know the answer as well as i do. If the conservatives come into power then everything people have fought for, campaigned for even died for! Has been for nothing. Nothing at all.

The BBC. Oh what a subject to talk about. As we all know the BBC are controlled by which ever political party is chaotically holding the reins at that particular moment at this time it's Labour. Labour who support the BBC. Well many BBC civil servants may vote for the Tories and on their heads be it. But going to the parliamentary club something struck me. I've always like the political editors and journalists they’ve had the hidden spunk which occasionally shines through. But there is one man. One man who was displeasing as a man could be. Vile may be to strong but when there's no other word for it, what can you do?
Patrick Burns. The political editor for the west midlands.
Let me explain before you think no. No Patrick Burns is fantastic and such.
At the rotary club debate in Birmingham he was the chairman. I hate to say such a things lightly but how can I word it another way without sounded like a tory? I can't and i won't. If this offends anyone to the extent they want to harm themselves then I apologise, if the anger is directed at me then oh well gulp it down with your own honey cuz I ain't providing nun (tis intentional chav)
We came from a predominantly Asian school. Asian being the key word here. After the break there were a majority less people wanting to ask questions. So hands were stuck up in the air and continuously my school put our hands up in the air. Patrick Burns looked over to us stared intently as if we were sheep at a farm and he was picking the best of the lot. We obviously were not the best of the lot as he kept turning away. A number of times Patrick Burns allowed a boy named TOM to respond to question and ask questions whilst blatantly snubbing our school. Even when there was no one else he would look over to us then choose the opposite side. Only one of us (me) was allowed to make a comment which provoked a positive reaction from the crowd yet I was not allowed to build on it. Now I don't know what Patrick's reasons were for this. Maybe with old age his eye sight is bad you may say no he was able to identify people farther away. Maybe he just didn't see when theirs a whole herd f hands stuck up in the air from our school were pretty hard to miss.
So what was it?
What was it that meant we were continuously ignored? What was it that meant we were continuously snubbed? What was it that meant we were continuously excluded?
The clothes we were wearing. It was uniform maybe not as smart as the other schools but uniform none the less.
The way we spoke? Well we never got a chance to speak so it could not have been that could it have. Or maybe they didn't like my accent and judged everyone by my standards though I was dressed smart, spoke appropriately and with my normal voice.
SO WHAT WAS IT THEN?
The colour of our skin? (One of my friends commented your look half-caste and he chose you. Hmmm?)
We've looked at other theories with no answers and this one seems to fit. Now I’m not calling names. I realise that what I seem to be implying could be very offensive but there is no other way to put it. If Patrick were ever to read this blog I’m sure he would be deeply offended at such an idea but maybe just maybe it wasn't intentional. Maybe just maybe it's institutionalized racism which is harder to spot especially when identifying when it’s coming from you.
One of the questions asked was about the underground level of racism in England and I believe that yes there is a problem like that especially nowadays with the whole 'Muslim' fiasco. I agree that this country has a problem and if it is set somehow in someone with such a position of authority then how can we ever hope to stamp it out?
Comments arguments are very welcome because I’m puzzled and right now think that the BBC wasting the taxpayer’s money on such a person who seems like a stuck-up ass is a waste. And I can't take the BBC seriously if I don't have closure to this question because it bugs me to think that even whilst discussing racism there could have been the hint of racism in that room.
I think it would bug anyone.
Put yourself in my shoes.

 Comments

The conservatives politics and life.

Being a sixteen year old school girl who always has an opinion it's hard for me to sit in silence when there's an issue i disagree with. I never thought i would be as dramatic as i was today over something that did not seem relevant to me (Keep reading and maybe i'll explain)
Every year schools in Birmingham attend the rotary meeting of debate, this is where schoolchildren put their views and questions to political party members. I think it was our school's first year of attending the rotary club debate forum. Now don't get me wrong i was very pleased and blah and blow but really to be honest their were only two reasons our school was invited:
1) Our school is not what you would call 'posh' in fact its in a distinctly rough area. So i think we were only put forward as a last resort.
2) All other school's there was grammer schools or about to become Academy schools. We were the only state school there, somehow i can't help thinkng it was to keep some sort of a balance. A pathetic attempt at proportional representation which wasn't exactlly proportionally representing at all.

Well we went into the council house and sat down while being eyeballed all the time by a bunch of grammer school kids in suits and such. We did not realise it was such a momentous occasion otherwise we would have bought autograph books. (Note the sarcasm) In fact i think one of the reasons i feel distinctly pleased is the fact that i didn't get excited at meeting ANY of the follwing people:
Patrick Burns- If you've never heard of him he's the political editor for BBC West Midlands and a down right ass with no deceny and the air of a self-important disillusioned gentleman who feels he is/was a cut above our particular school. Maybe it was because we didn't speak with a distinctly upper class accent. Maybe it was because we were asain. Maybe. But there's no question about the fact that he was an ass.
Gisela Stuart- Who apparently had some important meeting she tried her hardest to get out of 'but with all the attempts in the world she just couldn't' now i'm not one to complain when an MP actually wants to do some work but something tells me 4 hours with a bunch of school kids and conservative MP's doesn't exactly make you feel great, so she went of to try and change the world
The Conservatives didn't send the right MP to the question time so to make up for it they bought 2 MP'S in instead which is what most would say was typical of the tories. Doesn't bring in the most powerful but sends two diluted people instead but yet still it's always a pleasure to be reminded how slimy the conservatives are.
A woman MP from the Liberal Democrats who dissapeared halfway through also attended, though she wasn't as bad as the others she certainly spoke for England. A master in the art of avoiding the question and boring you with irrelavant details until you just wanted to die.
Finally Nick Blessing a student at Birmingham City University who was actually someone I found myself liking and agreeing with. I feel he did a better job then all the Mp's put together but hey if there's ever a non-slime ball elected into parliment let me know.

Well the meeting commenced with some well thought-out if not predictable questions by the 'grammer school kids' With the air and tone they were taking I half expected them to come up with something worthy of them blowing me away but yet everyone tread lightly against the issues that need to be tackled. The issues that we as young adults need to show the government we care about. These issues well they didn't pop up why would they when your playing for prizes and you need to sweeten up the only party that is their i.e the tories. The questions were not in the slightest answered rather used as a buiding block to promote that person's political party as well as totally go off subject. Not to be rude to anyone but i found some of the questions dull lifeless and totally non-shocking. I mean my view is you have some people with 'power' here go give them a bloody good kicking to make sure they take us seriously. To be fair there were a few questions which provoked a explosive reaction resulting in me having to be restrained from jumping across the table as i was going to attack someone with a fantastic question ( ya not really but it was a very clever question indeed) who was acting like a pompus aroggant git.

Blah blah blah people asked questions were answered with some input from Patrick Burns and then time was called.

The question time was started again with a brief re-cap of the questions (yawn) and 'brief' answers from the new conservative Mp who joined us Caronline Spelman. ( Amateur dramatics come free of charge) The question time was announced again and yet more q+a's were done until the question 'Are the tories really just Labour in blue?' popped up. The response from Caroline Spelman was sickening. A whole hearted denial they were anything like Labour as Labour were the big baddies trying to take away homes and jobs and blah ( Conservatives can talk. Think Thatcher) I who had stuck my hand up a few times to ask a question was finally given a bit of time to talk even then with a 'let's brush lightly on this until we move on' This angered me no one else was dismissded in such a manner. I was annoyed throughtout the whole thing i expected a fun passion filled debate i got nothing of the sort. I expected us to be chosen at least more then once to ask a question but no. I expected for us young adults to be taken seriously by the MP's. Ha. I was fuming about the fact i was disrespected in such a manner that it couldn't be seen as outright but rather insitusionlised. I expected myself to make a simple comment about the tories instead i let it all out in the form of
' The conversatives always seem to be in the media especially David Cameroin who is always on some charade or the other. He likes to portray himself as eco friendly- and rides a bike to work wit a limousine follwing behind him. It's obious that the conservatives will drop their priniciples like a stone if the public don't like it JUST to get more votes. They just change their views to suit the current political climate and have no real views or principles but change to get more votes. They are pathetic( or something) This explosion of passion gained a momentary silence and then a big round of applause with cheering, which i was very proud of. However que Calorine Spelman who looked shocked at the fact she was challenged in such a way. After some time of thinking baout how to respond she thought the ameatuer dramatics was the best way to respond. She launched into a tirade of how all parties need to change ( ya but not their very ideals) she then teared a paper in a fit of emtoion which propmeted a resound ooo and talked about soeting totally irrlavant. How tory like. Unlike other people who were given a chance to respond Patrick Burns moved on swiftly. Possibly for fear of offending the tories. And then continued question time until prizes were handed out.

Nxt blog is coming up this is too long where i will explain my new found 'hatred' for conservatives Patrick Burns and racism.

 Comments
